The evacuation orders issued for areas of the Santa Cruz Mountains were lifted Monday morning.
According to the Santa Cruz County Sheriff's Office, no mud slides or major flooding was reported in the mountain areas. Downed trees and wires were the biggest problem following the storm.

Update 5:23 a.m. Monday: A high surf warning is in effect until 11 a.m. Tuesday.
Update 10:30 p.m.: An areal flood advisory was issued through 3 a.m. for all Santa Cruz County due to heavy rainfall.
Update 9:40 p.m.: The National Weather Service has issued a flood advisory for northwestern areas of Santa Cruz County. The advisory is in place until 12:15 a.m.
An advisory is issued when hazardous weather is occurring or likely to occur. It is more severe than a "watch" but not as severe as a "warning," according to the NWS.

The county said about 319 addresses in the evacuation zones are in low-lying areas that are at high risk for debris flows. Santa Cruz County sheriff's deputies went door-to-door Saturday to notify residents at those specific addresses, officials said.
Evacuation orders were also issued Sunday morning in parts of southern San Mateo County. The orders impact the following zones: SMC-E018, SMC-E098, SMC-E019, and SMC-E038.
Evacuation Shelter
The Santa Cruz County Emergency Operations Center opened a shelter Sunday morning at San Lorenzo Valley High School in Felton. Evacuees were asked to check-in at the school's cafeteria.
Officials said parking for self-contained RVs is available at the high school
The shelter is following COVID-19 protocols to protect the safety of evacuees and staff, officials said.
The Santa Cruz County Equine Evacuation Unit is helping residents evacuate large animals but due to dangerous storm conditions, the staff will not be available after 2 p.m. Sunday.
Those who need help evacuating their large animals should call 831-708-8998.
School Closures
Schools in the San Lorenzo Valley Unified School District will be closed on Monday due to the storm, the superintendent told Action News 8.
The closure impacts the following schools:
- Boulder Creek Elementary School
- San Lorenzo Valley Elementary School
- San Lorenzo Valley Middle School
- San Lorenzo Valley High School
- San Lorenzo Valley Charter School
A Red Cross evacuation center is also open on the campus of three of the district's schools in Felton.
Power Outages
As of 11 p.m. Sunday, more than 5,000 PG&E customers were without power in Santa Cruz County. And more than 600 customers were without power in Monterey County.
