A propane tank explosion led to the cancellation of a scheduled parade in Laurel, Maryland.

The City of Laurel cancelled the Mainstreet Festival Parade after a food truck exploded at the intersection of 4th and Main Street. The fire started during a vendor set-up and has since been contained, officials said.

One person was injured with serious, but not life-threatening injuries, according to Prince George's County Fire and Emergency Medical Services (PGCFEMS). City officials confirmed a vendor was injured, but no other injuries were reported.

The Mainstreet Festival opened at 11 a.m. The situation is still under review, said a City of Laurel spokesperson.
